Is there a GUI based program that I can just drag/drop stuff onto to get my ideas on to the screen?
Is there a (literally) step-by-step video or page that shows me how to create a channel? So far everything is way too verbose and as soon as I see reference to using python or some other language I'm put off by it.
Why does plex channel development seem so secretive? I can follow instructions. I just don't want the preamble. Just give me Step 1: get this; Step 2: do this...
First of all, A knowledge towards Python is a req.
Secondly, a knowledge about medias and formats are req, and last of all
A knowledge about HTTP, XML, and REST is also a req.
Secondly, it's IMHO not possible to create what you want, since every vendor out there has it's own API, and as such, every channel has it's own way of dealing with things
If you have zero programming skills and are not comfortable with python then channel development is not for you sadly. dane22 has it correct as well, you also need more than just basic python skills.
