Super Sonic Database Backup

Poking around on the Plex Server after the Sonic Analysis completed (I know, curiosity killed the cat) and I noticed that there is a new database folder => ‘Music Analysis 20’ which contains Album, Artist, and Track Trees and a mapping database. I also noticed that after my last DB backup this folder isn’t included.

Which brings me to my actual question; if the DB needs to be restored for some unforeseen reason and that folder gets tanked - does the Sonic Analysis need to be re-run or is this a cached index for something in the Plex DBs?

Sonic analysis took 2 weeks… would really hate to have to start that from scratch. :wink:

If you want a backup of all procedural metadata, backup your plex data folder.

The folder you mentioned is just a kind of accumulation of all the sonic analysis results.
If you delete it, it can be reconstructed from the actual analysis results which are stored in other parts of the data folder.
