M4B Audiobook support would enable me to ditch iTunes forever. Plex has my Movies, TV shows, Music and Home Videos covered, but Audiobooks and Courses (Audio & Video) need bookmark support to make this a one stop shop.

I would love to see audiobooks get even a little bit of love. Just the ability to not have to spend 15 minutes to figure out where you left off would be a godsend.

Iām surprised this isnāt a feature. The current support, or lack there of, makes it very difficult to resume listening.

Indeed a feature, missing from the start on. If you support music, support for audiobooks shouldnāt be that unreasonable.
Just add the capability to store the playback position, as well as adding additional buttons to the UI as many audiobooks players use for jumping back and forth of e.g. 10sec and/or 1min.
This feature is so far the only thing Iām missing in PLEX. I often listen to my audiobooks both at the PC and on my phone as I travel to and from work, but having to browse my way back to the position is a struggle, not to mention when the battery dies or phone flips out and you are now lost without at best knowing what chapter you were on, bu no idea of the position you were on in that chapter, and since chapters can be up to 40 minutes long sometimes itās hard to just pick up.
This feature needs to be implemented.
or at least allow us an API where we can track this externally. Though i think this would require more modification in the code

Agreed, would be amazing. Might I add the possibility to preset how long it should play for until it pausesā¦ I always fall asleep using this function. Makes it esaier to locate where one was the next day. Thanks!
I agree, audiobook functionality would be great! I think that if it supports multiple file formats as well as both a single or multiple files, the audiobook functionality could also be used for podcasts and lessons. Of course, automatic download (subscription) of the latter two would also be nice, but if we could audiobooks first, I would be very happy with that!
Syncing would just be great for audio books but also pod casts. I frequently listen to long format audio in my car and want to pick up where I left off in my office. Now I either need to keep it on my cell or manually fast forward to the spot I was at on my computer.

+1 remembering the last position should not be that hard to do. Hopefully it happens some day.
