Skip Intro is a great feature.
However it could do with a touch of deference to the media it pops over.
Imagine watching the first episode of The Sopranos for the first time and, just before the legendary intro kicks in for the first time, a little Skip Intro button pops up.
The intro to the Sopranos captures the style and swagger of the entire show. Skipping it for the first time would be a crime.
You could argue that just because the Skip Intro button appears, there’s no pressure to click it!
However the button appearing is a visual distraction. It pulls you out of the episode and spoils what’s usually a carefully timed moment.
Seeing an intro more than once might start wearing thin, but the first intro of a series is important.
Therefore I’d suggest there should be the option to suppress the Skip Intro button for the first episode of a series.
So for S01E01, S02E01 etc, skip Intro does not appear, but it appears for S01E02, S02E02 etc onwards
