Problem still persists from these unresolved bug reports:

Having issues syncing media with multiple audio tracks. Server has preferred language to „German“ and the synced media is also set to „German“. The iOS device itself has „English“ as locale. The synced content only plays „English“. Tried 1: Choose iOS-device (synced and local content). Media plays in english. Playback settings show two options, „German“ selected. Wrong language synced to iPad. Bug?

Dear Plex Team, Are there any news on the issue yet? I am bugged by this since iOS 11 as well and it renders my iPad Plex experience nearly useless. Since I’m watching synced content on my daily commute I am now limited to content with only one audio track, since switching is not possible at the moment. Streaming of course is no option. Please fix this issue. It is now present for 1,5 months. Kind regards Dennis

When the server transcodes files to sync to my iOS device it always uses the english audio track to encode all other languages so as a result the local the German audio track is label as German but it the english track instead. Edit: This bug also happens over the web player with optimised versions transcoding the english track as german.
