Please add feature for sync on this device would be a great feature to have 500g version.
Is there no word on this yet if it’s a future update they are working on or is not going to be an option.
I’d love this. I just recently purchased a shield pro (500Gb drive) and was disappointed that I could not sync.
Why owuld you need sync? you can put your files straight on the drive then use the internal server?
That sounds fine for a person running PMS on their shield, but I run it on another server located elsewhere. For anyone using the shield outside of the network where PMS is located, syncing would be ideal.
I would love to have this. Why sync? Because I also have an RV, and most the places we go either do not have any internet access or do not allow streaming. My RV just has three cheap, small LCDs, and something like the 2mbps 720p would be plenty good for use in the RV. I could get quite a few movies on a 64gb card or 128gb thumb drive if I could sync to the Shield.
I am moving house from a 200mb fibre area to a very slow 4mb broadband area and bought a shield for this purpose… would it really be that hard to enable for the devs? it already exists in the standard android app. Has anyone found a workaround? Also why is this thread marked as answered?
I would love this feature for the cottage or hotel where there is limited or no internet.
This is functionality included in the windows10 application, so there is hope.
