Its not uncommon for me throughout the day to switch between my desktop, laptop, and phone for listening. It’s annoying to have to re-queue/remember where I was in the middle of an album. I think it would be helpful if there was a option I could turn on to sync my play queue across my various clients so when I switch between devices I can easily pick up where I left off.
Spotify has an implementation of this which I think serves as a good example.
There’s actually already an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to sync play queues across different clients. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread.
As a side note…
You should already be able to hand-off a play queue by flinging your music to that device.
In addition there’s another suggestion discussing an option to pick from a list of play queues across devices (although that suggestion doesn’t have any votes yet).
