Yeah Id love this feature to watch movies with my gf when we aren’t
together.I don’t understand. If you’re not physically together, why does it matter that you watch exactly at the same time? Do you talk it out over the phone while watching?
I think that is implied
Would love to use my phone with earphones as the audio source but my TV with chromecast as the video player.
Besides the 10+ pages of excellent reasons for this, I would eat a live bug (of my own choosing) if this were to be implemented.
So there’s that
Id be great if you i could watch a movie, listening to music, tv show, etc, ad if the one paused the movie, tv show, music, etc the both would pause and vise versa
My girlfriend and I are currently in a long-distance relationship. We love watching movies together, but the only way we can currently do it is through a service like rabb.it
It would be amazing if Plex added this feature. I’m sure a lot of people would love it.
This would be great, especially together with Hue Immersive (or a better solution, integrated in PMS), so it could create an Ambilighteffect. This would be great because it could also perfectly sync the light with the picture, meaning the tandem play (probably on the server?) would be a little bit ahead.
And you should also be able to make rules, for example that it only does this with movies or only when its dark etc.
Look forward to this feature!
+1 I’d use this!

+1 for me. A MUST feature for home audio!! I use Plex for playing music and having the same music being played in a few different areas of the house would be amazing.
This would be a standout and killer feature! I bet they could use this to market Plex.
All of my +1s. I really hope this feature comes out soon. Would make watching things with my wife while I’m away on business much more enjoyable…
+1 Please this would be great for when I am doing chores around the house.
Plus several million, often if we’re watching something in our media room my wife may decide she wants to go do her nails in her office, or I may decide I want to go work on a drone for a bit in my den. Being able to join in watching an existing stream that is visible in the Status screen would be hugely advantageous.

+1 This is like iTunes being able to airplay to multiple devices. I use it all the time to stream my music around the house. I wish Apple would implement mutiple airplay on the iphone/ipad too and not just limit it to iTunes on the mac/pc.
If plex implemented this then I would finally ditch itunes altogether.
It’s the missing piece, especially for music.
