TCL Roku TV not respecting http vs https for custom URLs

I am having issues getting a custom domain working. I turned on local logging on the RokuTV and was able to figure out that my Custom URL was not being fully respected by the App. In the logs on the TCL Roku TV I am seeing this on the Roku:
WARN (GeneralTask) Failed! -52:Empty reply from server GET http://plex.MYDOMAIN.com:443/identity - 99ms

It is not respecting the HTTP vs HTTPS. I have HTTPS set in my plex server but as seen above you can see it’s using HTTP. Any recommendations would be great, but I suspect a bug in the code that assumes HTTP even when https is entered.
