I am part of the TestFlight beta for the new Plex experience but I have not seen an update come over from TestFlight in months? As a matter of fact I dont think Ive ever seen an update?
When I look at TestFlight on my iPhone or Apple TV it says “build removed” but there is no option to download anything new?
Am I missing something obvious or did I some how get kicked out of the program?
As far as I’m aware the new experience has been launched officially, could be why there are no testflight builds - it’s done testing.
this post from April 19th should confirm everything, but as @kazz3r24 said, they moved beta testing into the normal beta TestFlight.
Were the people who are in the preview automatically moved to the beta? I see that the beta program is full. seems odd that everybody testing out the preview aren’t part of the beta program.
Sadly that isn’t the way the Plex TestFlights work (and to be honest no other devs that I know do that either). They do reset them every now and again.
Note that the folks who were in the Beta didn’t automatically get added to the New Experience Preview, I actually missed out because I didn’t notice the preview was running separately by the time I got around to knowing I needed to join a second TestFlight, it was full.
Might be time for Plex to do some housekeeping on inactive users.
