since updating to server version 1.2…2.3402, my DVR schedule is now showing this error on every TV show recorded: “The destination library or location did not exist”. The show records and is playable. If recording multiple episodes where the particular show and season folder already exist, it still shows this error message.
This does not happen happen recoding movies. Only TV shows.
Seems weird.
Edit* Now getting super annoyed because every show is an error so I don’t know if it is a real recording error or this BS message. It happens even when the the destination library and location both exist prior to the recording
Go into your DVR Schedule and check the target setting of your recording jobs. See if they point to valid libraries and/or folders.
Overwrite the settings by clicking on Save.
Opening items showed them pointed to the correct folder, which I already suspected because the shows were recording to the same directory they always have. I had tried opening, modifying and saving one of the show’s recording options when I first noticed the issue and the issue persisted. I added a new show with default DVR settings and that recorded without showing the error. Opening each existing TV item and saving without modification has fixed the issue.
Some of these steps may not have had any relevance to what fixed it and just adding all for a more complete picture.
