I was able to find to resolve my DVR channel issue yesterday and now I am back to my original problem of Plex not recording some programs due to some sort of linking error with my library folders. I believe the error is: Destination Folder or Library Does Not Exist.

If I add a new series to record, things are fine. It seems to fail on adding new episodes to series that I have successfully recorded int he past, but only selectively. Some of these record ok as well.
I’ve tried wading through the log files, but I don’t know how to access them for the time the recording should occur. Some help in how to do this would be appreciated.

I’m sure the problem is related to rebuilding the library which had numerous metadata issues. I did some folder cleanup and I think i must have messed up the naming structure for some shows although they look the same to me. As an experiment, I created a new TV show library and scheduled some recordings. One of the “problem” shows recorded fine in the new library and one did not, so I am confused and don’t know how to capture the specific error.

Go into each scheduled recording and re-select the library. Even if you recreate a library with the same name it’s underlying ID is different.

So, I have mixed results. Several series that I had a history of recording before I rebuilt the TV Show folder will record and store correctly in the “legacy” TV Show folder. However, there are a couple of programs that still will not record if I select the original folder. They won’t even show up properly in the DVR schedule (except for the grid view). This is new. Before, I would get the error message and no recording. Now no error message and no listing. It will show in the guide “recording priority” column, but stats no upcoming show, even though there are upcoming episodes in the guide data.

They will record if I select the new TV Show folder as the storage location.
So far, I have found two shows that exhibit this behavior. Very confusing.
