The flatpak Linux Plex desktop client wont launch

Hello,

I installed POP_OS recently, updated & upgraded the OS and whatever the pop shop told me to. I installed Plex, but it will not launch. The Plex logs are also of no use it seems:

However, looks like launching from the terminal yields something:

nv@pop-os:~$ flatpak run tv.plex.PlexDesktop
/usr/share/libdrm/amdgpu.ids: No such file or directory
Plex Media Server is already running. Will not start...

The file is there… what is going on?

nv@pop-os:~$  ll /usr/share/libdrm/amdgpu.ids
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 10387 Mar 31 17:15 /usr/share/libdrm/amdgpu.ids

This is a bug that manifests when the app doesn’t cleanly shut down. Delete ~/.var/app/tv.plex.PlexDesktop/data/plex/Plex Media Server/plexmediaserver.pid and it will launch again.

Oh wow- that worked! Thanks so much! how did you find this solution? is a bug fix coming?
