Server Version#: 1.41.1.9057
Player Version#: 4.140.1
After this update the theme music that plays when you go into a library selection is full volume and blasts the speakers and since there’s no volume control it is bad. The previous version did not do this and played the volume at a nice low level.
You have not indicated what Plex app/player you are using for playback?
You also have not indicated which TV Shows are effected?
If you rely on the Plex Theme Music database to provide the theme music files and the app/player you are using has no volume controls, then try adding your own theme music files to your TV Show/s.
Oops. Yeah, this happens in Chrome browser (Win 10) when going to plex.tv website to access my own server media. When I do it through my TCL “smart” TV Plex app the volume is auto-leveled down to a nice background tune. It did not previously do this in the browser, thus my report. Now it seems like a browser regression bug I suppose since there have been one or two browser updates since then and the problem still exists…although curious why the plex.tv webapp doesn’t have volume controls for this.
The only thing I can recommend is that you go to Plex Settings > Plex Web > General and turn off theme music there when using Plex/Web, otherwise there are no volume controls in Plex/Web when using a browser.
I too wish there were volume controls available, but alas, there are none that I can find.
