I have a genuine question on this. Why not just provide an option to select from all the services worldwide? Why does plex care which service a third party says may or may not be available in my region when its entirely my responsibility to ensure I acquire the subscription and app required for playback?

It seems to me like there could just be a ‘show all’ toggle somewhere in advanced settings and let me proceed at my own volition.

Honestly curious.

Still nothing on my side. Like @cqon mentioned is there a way to choose the country or event the services ?

Just because a service is in a region does not mean the content is the same across regions. If we display that Movie XYZ is available on Service A in Country A does not mean it is available on Service A in CountryB, then we will just get complaints that “Why isn’t Movie XYZ working?”.

I’ve just discovered Plex, looking forward to become an active user. However, this is discouraging:
There are no other streaming services currently available in your region: Ukraine.

Actually, following global services are available (legally, without VPN):

  • Netflix
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • Google Play Movies / YouTube Movies
  • Apple TV
  • Rakuten TV
    Also, just in case there are more local services, like Megogo that provide licensed content legally.
