"There was an error signing in"

I am unable to log into Plex Media Server on my PC, when I attempt to login I get a message stating successfully logged in but then a further window comes up stating “There was an error signing in”, image attached.

Strangely enough, if I try the “sign in” option on the plex website (https://www.plex.tv/#) it does nothing, if I click on “sign up” it brings up the user sign-in screen showing my user details and allows me to enter my pin and I am able to then login to the website and view the server that way.

Been having this issue with logging in with MS Edge for the past month, IE and Chrome worked fine. Tried some of the suggestions about with no avail. Went into Server > Settings > Authorized Devices and deleted all Microsoft Edge devices. For me there were about 30 separate Edge devices listed. Once all had been deleted was able to login through Edge without any issues.

Hopefully this works for others as well.
