You can rate a song while it is playing in many Plex client types.
1 Star = dislike
5 stars = like
Plexamp even has a mode where you can like/dislike a song instantly. (internally, it uses the above “star” system)
Which Plex client are you using?
One problem I found with rating songs is that if you shuffle play your entire library outside of a playlist, it front loads songs with ratings instead of doing a true random.
I don’t mind it using the ratings to place in some faves, but when you’re randomly rating songs you like and don’t have thousands rated, it’s pants.
Yeah, I was thinking of something playlist-specific for this very reason. I guess it would confusing to the user to support both types of rating.

I just discovered PlexAmp has a Windows client! This is awesome, except I want to cast to my Sonos system. I know Sonos has native Plex integration. but I want the fades, leveling, etc. features in PlexAmp. Any plans to support casting?
