Tidal search results are empty in Plex

When doing a search in Plex, it is not showing any results from Tidal. I have tried searching multiple items, and each time, it shows no results under Tidal.

Are you sure that your Tidal subscription is still active?
It is not included in the Plex Pass.

Yes, it is still active. I am able to play music in Tidal, along with play the songs that I have added from Tidal to my library. It’s just not letting me search Tidal for any items not in my library.

Here is an example of searching for an artist, with “No Results”

Although this artist is in fact in Tidal:

And I am able to play a song from Tidal that is already added to my music library.

But if I search for that artist in Plex, it shows them in my library, but “No Results” in Tidal

Thanks, for the screenshots!
I can actually confirm your findings. I’m told this is already being investigated internally.

Thanks for the update!

Can you try again

It is now working, thanks

Hi. since updating my Plex last week, I no longer get search results in Tidal. I can play play Tracks that I have been listening to, as well as Albums earmarked in My Tidal.

I also use Tidal with Sonos & all the search functionality is working there.

Help please

I am having the exact same problem with Plex media player on my mac. Plex searches will not show any results from Tidal.

Can someone confirm if Plex is supposed to return results from Tidal that are public (IE not just your own added albums and artists etc. within tidal)?

Roon does this and you can search for new music and add it to your library all within Roon and will later show up in your tidal App when you are listening remote in the car for example.

Just tested from Plex on Android. A search for an artist I don’t have in my TIDAL or Plex collection returns results for that artist.

Cool, doesn’t seem to work for me. Also i noticed that plexamp doesn’t work at all with Tidal. it’s a pity, stuff has potential just doesn’t work well.

The TIDAL integration is super frustrating. It has the potential to be amazing but there are just too many bugs along the way that degrade the experience.

yep. Roon does it far better.

I haven’t used Roon in over 5 years. It was good software but just had more features than I needed so it didn’t present great value for me. Well executed TIDAL integration with Plex would have given me the one-stop shop for everything that I have craved.

I guess I will still hold out hope…
