TidyGenres plex app install?

Hi all,
I have read about the benefits of using the TidyGenre plex app to reduce the movie genres etc within plex. I have downloaded a file called TidyGenres.plexapp but dont know how to install it. I have tried creating a folder in the plex apps folder called TidyGenres.bundle and placed it in there but it doesnt show up in plex. I also tried creating a subfolder called Contents and moved it in there but it still doesnt show up. I am obviously missing something here.

Any help in achieving the goal of sorting out and reducing the genres list would be appreciated.

A .plexapp file is a very, very, very old install file. Support for those installer files was dropped years ago. There’s a ZIP version of that same file in this forum post: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/302218/#Comment_302218
