Does anyone know if there is a way for the different profiles that can be created to not have certain movies listed. I know we have the rating system where we can restrict certain ratings but I am talking about being able to go in from like the account holder and being able to take movies out of a profile. The rating system does work great but when you have older movies that fall under PG that would of been PG-13 today, is there a way to just take it out so the certain profile can’t see it, instead of removing the title from the server?
Couple of thoughts:

You could have 2 libraries. One “All Movies” that you don’t share with folders added for “Movies” and “Not Shared Movies” and another library “Shared Movies” with only one folder added for “Movies”. Move the movies you don’t want shared to the not shared folder. Each user is then assigned the “Shared Movies” library.

This one could require more work. For the movies you want shared add a label under the “Sharing” tab for the show called something like “Share” or “Family” or whatever you want to call it. Then to each user assign the label under the Restrictions tab. I really wish this could be used in the reverse so we could just tag the shows/movies we don’t want shared and add the restriction to not show items tagged with a label.
I personally like the 1st option better. My son could care less about some of the older TV Shows that I record for my wife and I. I have them recording to an Old TV Shows folder that is not assigned to the library for my son.
