I know I’m not the only person having this issue with my TIVO Plex App. The issue is related to “Three Dots” in the center of the screen of my TIVO while I’m attempting to playback video on my Plex App on the TIVO. I’ve heard uninstalling the Plex server and reinstalling it might work, but I’m not uninstalling my software. I heard it also is not a work-around.
Plex, what is going on with TIVO and the latest update?
janescrazy, I have the same issue. It started with the Plex Pass versions since 1.3.4.3285 so downgrading to that release will clear the issue. Now that the Plex Pass version is also the public version it will impact all TiVo users. I am working on gathering my logs as well. I am running the 64bit Ubuntu version so if you are as well you can run this if you still have the former public version:
Napertivo, thanks for the command, but I’m running Windows Server 2012R2 on a vSphere VM. I’ve heard the downgrade might fix it, but that’s not a fix. I’m looking for Plex to release a patch to resolve this for us. In the meantime, I have 5 other ways of utilizing my Plex server. That is my workaround, not that I’m pleased. I’ve also contacted TIVO and hammered them for not doing a better job of working with Plex.
My Tivo Plex app crashes after about 2 min with the dots on the screen too! I’m running a TiVo Roamio Plus. I purchased it a 2 years ago. Although, I’m not happy it only streams 720, it is very convenient to run my Plex app with the Tivo Set Top Box. I also use a PS4, which is as loud as a 737 idling at the gate.
