Who supports version updates for Plex on Tivo boxes? Plex or Tivo?

The problem I’m having is that while watching the TV show Friends on Tivo the episodes end right around the start of the credits with the error “There was a problem playing this item. An unexpected error occurred while decoding the media.”

The Plex version on Tivo is 3.13.14
The same problem happened with some of the seasons for The Big Bang Theory.

If I watch from the Fire Stick, the show finishes without any problems. So I have other options.

Just wondering if they is an update I can get for the Tivo box?

Just got done talking to Tivo. Tivo says to connect Plex about my issue.

So, I’m back here to find the issue between Tivo and the Plex server. Running Plex server version 1.21.3.4014. Tivo Plex player app version 3.13.14.

I activated the log to media server from the Tivo Plex player app. Re-created the problem. Downloaded the Plex server logs.

Now I’m going through the logs to see if I can understand the issue. If you have any links for reading and understanding the server logs for Plex please send them my way.

This happens to me a lot too, And it doesn’t matter how I encoded the files to begin with.

I have the same problem with Plex for TiVo (but not from other Plex players, all streaming from the same Plex Media Server).

Perhaps Plex could release an updated version of the Plex for TiVo app???
