I have a soft spot for Top Gun that I don’t like to admit  Must have watched it 10 000 times as a child.

Old post/thread I know but I too have a soft spot for Top Gun. Was legendary when it came out. I know I’ve seen it at least 500 times (no lie). I now have a ritual I do when ever I get a new TV, device or similar. Top Gun is the first movie I’ll watch with the new setup.

I liked Days of Thunder as well which came out right after TG. For the 1980s these were good movies with a lot of action. And face it, guys like jet fighters and fast cars.

Neither is a top 5 movie anymore. Tastes constantly change and depend on mood, so I probably could never put a top 5 together but My Cousin Vinny would have to be up there. Damn funny classic movie.

This is a tough one.

I have so many favorites.

Star Trek Wrath of Kahn
Inherit The Wind
Under Siege (Believe it or not I often feel like a stupid Steven Segal movie and this is it)
Andromeda Strain (Read the book a dozen time LOL… Love the story. Book is better)
Hunt For Red October

Bonus Favorite: Raiders of the lost Ark

PS: My cousin Vinny is up there too… Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein rate hi with me as well
Never been a big Tom Cruise fan but my favorite Cruise movie is A Few Good Men.

My top 5 in no particular order:

Blade Runner

Repo Man

Zoolander

Blues Brothers

… not sure about the last one

LOL
That one only 4
You get to add another…
;

The Godfather
Seven Years In Tibet
Matrix
Devil’s Advocate
Star Wars
