I would like a way to add information about where I store the media after I rip it. are there fields to annotate where I put the media - sort of a location code or a sequence number. I currently use MyMovies but would prefer using a single program for streaming and a media database.
Do you mean some kind of asset management where you can document the where to find the physical media? Or do you want to keep track where the file behind a movie record is stored?
I mean the physical media. a field I can put a 1up number, 1, 2, 3, … would suffice
Have you considered using the Labels Field in the Sharing tab or some (hidden) collections?
Thank you for the suggestion. Yes I had explored that but what I cannot find a way to easily display that information. As I am browsing the collection, I want an easy way to find the media. IF there were an easy way to display the Label when browsing the movie - then I could do that. am I missing a way to display that from the Plex clients?
No, the sharing label isn’t displayed on the movie pages etc.
However, there’s actually already a feature suggestion covering this topic… so maybe it’ll make more sense to comment and vote in that thread (instead of establishing a duplicate that’ll only distract votes)
