There are several albums in my collection where individual tracks will have unique art - for example, Divinorum by Au5 (Stream Au5 | Listen to Au5 - Divinorum LP - Out Now playlist online for free on SoundCloud). Is there any way to make Plex scan each track for its unique art rather than just picking one at random? I’ve set the “Album Art” option when editing the library in the webapp to “Local Files Only”, but that doesn’t seem to have solved anything.
Edit: I’ve moved this to the “feature suggestions” board. This seems like a simple option to implement, so I really hope the right people see this.
I understand that’s how it works currently, which is why I’m asking for a way to change that! Plex is the first media player I’ve encountered that doesn’t handle art on a per-song basis, even though it probably doesn’t matter for 95% of users which is why I’m suggesting that it be an optional checkbox.
Please comment/vote in the existing suggestion which is already asking for that option.
This should help preventing duplicate threads which distract/disperse votes.
Edit: There’s an even more popular one asking for an option to use embedded artwork per track. I suppose those two are having quite some overlap too…
Thanks for bringing those posts up! I didn’t see them when I did my initial search. They don’t seem too active, though, so maybe there’s some merit to making this post as well? Either way I’ve voted for both of them!
