When enabling playing trailers before movies, the previews are extremely loud. It’s so loud that the feature can only be called defective and unusable. This happens on my Apple TV.
We can say the same thing about TV commercials.
Plex doesn’t play trailers at a louder volume setting. The issue is that they are louder recordings.
Plex has no control over the production/trailer-making companies that created the trailers.
Plex can implement sound controls. iTunes has it to manage recordings that are at different levels. iTunes calls it Sound Check and it is in Preferences > Playback.

Not only are the trailers loud, I just got one in GERMAN. The Apple Remote app shows details of what’s playing, and that trailer was even labeled as “German Version” for the trailer. Come on… This is sad.
