Could be the same problem described here:

Plex randomly jumping forward during playback

Ah ok. There were special builds that were made available for testing. I’ll have to check why you can’t upgrade.

Seems that both problems disappear after downgrade to 1.16.3.1402 so maybe it’s the same root cause.
