transcoding issue

I'm trying to initiate a transcoding session based on what I've read from forum articles. I notice the zip file of javascript code is no longer available, so I don't know if this is still valid, but can somebody give me some advice please?

I have generated a url , hmac256 hashed it with the secret key previously published, and based 64 encoded it.  My problem seems to come when I submit this my server errors with an http 400 (bad request) error.

the server log is as below:

I have verified my code produces hmacsha256 hashes ok, and I think it converts to base64 ok - any test inputs anyone could recommend for me to try this would definetly help if they have any though.

Does it look like its just my hashing at fault, or is my URL wrong? I'm really stuck and I'd really appreciate any advice anyone can offer please?

many thanks in advance.
