This is always a relatively complex question, which is not solely dependent on the available bandwidth.
I’d simply try it with a good number of representative file formats.
Each sharee might have a different experience.
Agreed. Thx. Im waiting on my brother to deal with his issues (he is a pain lol) TY again
Ok…
- My Brothers Plex/Roku Stick settiings were all correct.
- He has access to a family members Plex Server, and has no issues watching anything.
- He has been a member of both our servers without issue for several years.
Same issues occurring i invite him to my server, he joins, but when he is in everything is transcoded and so bad he cant watch it.
While on his phone in plex he had other servers of mine listed, either dead or not in use, he deleted the. I have tried to send him a new server invite. My new server is my old server reclaimed several times over.
Is it possible he is joining my new account, but accessing an older version of my server and thats why the conflict. Otherwise i cant understand. He has had access for 2 years, has changed no settings, i have other people streaming 4k and yet he is getting 300kbs and yet he can watch my nephews server without issue.
How does a single person have an issue with a server when no one else does and yet he has no issues with other servers??? frustrating
No. Each server has its own identity, independent of its name.
Are you two perhaps on the same ISP?
No we live 45 minutes away from each other…
That’s not what I meant.
Do you both have an internet access provided by the same operator?
No we do not. And he is still getting transcoded video in the 250-350kbs range, unwatchable
