I don't know what i did, but somehow after installing a few things, one of which is the .26 release, trans-coding stopped working and now i can only see files naively supported by the device in this case my Sony Bravia EX650.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

try to play something that is forced to transcode and check the server and DLNA logs...

that's not an error, it is just telling you your media is not direct play capable...
Valid point. Although i was able to play it for 6 months until it stopped working and i cant figure out why.

I'm having the same issue .26 doesn't seem to want to transcode. Also a bravia. My dlnaclientprofiles.xml is:

These have been working up until updating this evening...
Don't know if this would make any difference, but the DLNA profiles are now separated out into individual XML files in the latest versions of Plex Server:
C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Profiles
There is a profile file in there that says "Sony Bravia 2011" which looks a bit different to the profile you included above - I would think that Plex is using this slightly different profile instead of yours in the dlnaclientprofiles.xml
It looks like the profile location change from the app data folder. I'll move mine and see if it works. Thanks for the replies guys, I havent been on in a while.
Works like a charm again. The profile needs to be in this location:
C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Profiles
