when the Plex TV-app is used and the audio/video specifications do not match the capabilities of the TV, than PMS will transcode it for you.
of course under the provision that the server can handle this.
when the same situation occurs using the DLNA-server of PMS, than an error occurs. which means that the a/v-content is not transcoded.
in order to achieve this, there are profiles.
but this is so enormous complicated and very unpractical.
the solution would be the let the DLNA server start the transcoding, just like the TV-app is doing this.
could this suggestion be taken into consideration ??
