@ChuckPa and I continued in a private conversation due to the fact the the pref file contains sensitive content. We concluded that it wasnât working because my Preferences.xml file was completely broken. There were invalid values everywhere. This all lead to transcoding not working for me. The source of the problem was that I was programming and did something with plex that wasnât supported and plex couldnât handle it and broke my Preferences.xml file as a result. Chuckpa looked through my broken pref file and created a new file based on it that wasnât broken. All the values were corrected and set to the desired values. I downloaded this file, replaced the broken file with it and restarted plex. It all works now ![]()
Lesson learned: donât do stuff with software that it doesnât support. It will mess things up.
Yeah, You gotta watch out for that Volts guy.
Heâs well known for breaking stuff.
