Just wished there was a simpler backup and restore function for Plex data libraries.
Itās really completely unacceptable in 2020 that thereās still not an easy method for backing up your PMS library/data and being able to restore it in case of distaster, or simply move it to a new Shield. It really should be a one or two click process.
Iām dreading the day I have to do go through what jay8393 is going through.

It took me 2 hours, but finally managed to get it to work!!! I couldnāt figure out why there was no option to select storage location, which would have been next to the PMS settings. Finally figured out that I had to set up Plex of the new Shield via the Plex web app, which eventually enabled the storage location settings. And I didnāt realise that the ānameā of the PMS would be retained in the new Shield TV, as I setup a new ānameā to differentiate between the new and old. That created confusion for me.
It wasnāt as āsimpleā as I thought it was, but I am happy to transfer everything across to the new Shield TV. Again, I wished there was just a simple ābackupā in settings.

Yeah, transferring means to transfer everything, including the name. Glad to hear you got it all figured out.
