Transmogrify for Plex: A browser extension that adds features to Plex/Web

After unistalling several times my Chrome Browser and transmogrify, with no luck, i noticed that on a clean install, transmogrify only appears when I AM NOT logged in. If i Log in, the infos go away. If i log out again, it comes back. I also noticed that my remote server is online, although i am not logged in on the upper right corner menu. So, when i am not logged in on my PMS, Transmogrify works, (however it is a litle bit slow). When i log in, or lunch the web app (whitch requires log in), Transmogrify does not show up.I Hope this helps.

Just wanted to drop a note that I believe I am in the same boat as manoscello - everything was working fine until a week ago, then

it just stopped working all of a sudden. I am using the latest Chrome and did not do any changes before it stopped working, so I would

suspect one of your updates had a hiccup of some sort. But hopefully manoscello's logs will help!

It would be helpful to get some logs from you too, be much easier to track down the issue.

I can't reproduce this. Are you visiting http://:32400/web? If so, how is it possible for you to view that server without being logged in? Do you also have a local server? What do you mean by when you log in or launch the web app?

Pushed out v0.8.4. This has even more improvements for retrieving plex tokens, along with a rewritten missing seasons/episodes plugin that fixes the bug where it assumed seasons/episodes started from 1. Thanks to WolfBrother for the report.

Same symptoms. Both on the server and a different computer, transmogrify works as long as I am not logged in, as soon as I log in, however,

the information is gone (until I log out again).

moussa.uk, I will try to get my logs to you as soon as I have time to do it.

Sounds like the issue lies with your network then. But since I cannot reproduce I can't tell you what the issue is until I get logs.

Pushed out v0.8.5, which rolled back the plex token retrieval changes as they were causing issues for some users.

I too am having trouble when logged in to my server (nothing showing up, no trailers, IMDB ratings or anything)... as soon as I log out, it works great. I love this app, really hoping I can do something to get it working again.

I need a couple of beta testers to test an upcoming update for the extension. Chrome only for now. Ideally I'm looking for testers with multiple servers and libraries, but any setup will do. If you're interested then please pm me.

Need some firefox testers now too.

This addon has never worked for me in Chorme or Firefox. I came here looking for screenshots so I'd know what to look for when/if it starts working. I can now confirm I've never seen those options in either of my browsers after installing versions over the last several months.

I think this functionality is a myth.

Can you PM me your browser console output? Turn on debugging in the extension settings, refresh the plex/web page, open the browser console (ctrl-■■■■-j) on chrome, and send me the entire output

Version 1.0.0 is here! Should be up on the Chrome web store soon and on the Firefox addons store when approved. There's quite a few bug fixes and code optimizations. The bug with the server override address not being saved properly in extension options is fixed, fixed the Plex token retrieval script being inserted multiple times into pages, tweaked the options page styling, and optimized extension settings retrieval code. Please let me know if you encounter any bugs.

In addition to this I've added a new plugin, server stats! Pictures say a lot more than words so enjoy :)

I would like to convey my thanks to you for creating this extension. Up till now, I can not remember having used an extension/add on that I felt added anything that I needed or wanted - Transmogrify is an exception. I realized that when I didn't have access to it, I felt slightly perturbed. I use a VPN and Transmogrify wouldn't work with VPN enabled, so I would disable VPN when using the web app. The other day I noticed the Plex Server Override function thought to myself "this probably won't work (sounds too easy), but I'll give it a try". Ha! Nicely Done!!!

And then today, even more....

Thank you.

How long should it take to calculate the server stats?  My library isn't huge (about 300 movies and 60 tv shows) but it seems like it's getting hung up on "calculating server stats..."

thank you for this plugin! love transmogrify! and like the new server stats.  however the splash page telling me about the new stats page shows up ever time a new page is loaded. and also the link to the stats page in the top right nav doesn't exist. never mind... it finally appeared

Always glad to hear from a happy user :)

Could you turn on debugging in the extension settings and send me the output in the browser console when you refresh the stats page.

Which browser are you using? I'll look into this.

I love Transmogrify and all the awesome updates you put out for it. In the latest, whenever I try out the statistics, It starts out calculating and then just returns, "error: could not find server".

Here's the console errors I was getting:

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

I'm guessing it has something to do with me have authentication required on local networks.

Hi moussa

Firstly thanks a lot for putting time into this really awesome extension.

secondly would it be possible to export the new statistics. I've tried to save the page, but then i can't touch stuff and get more info e.g. like how many procent or how many movies a given peace of the cake is.

I'd really like to have this stats on my webpage, because not all my users use the plex web and therefor don't have your awesome extension installed. But I'd still like to show them all these neet stats.

Hmm that may be an issue, let me look further into that. Without seeing your full log output I can't tell if it's passing the auth token to the server.

Initially I did want to create a standalone program that generated stats and a library view for users to export as static web pages, but that didn't pan out. Unfortunately it would take a fair bit of work to rewrite this so that it can be stored in a text file. I've put it on my todo list to look into later though.

I direct messaged you my full console error log.
