Is there a reason the stats page seems to pick a random port when trying to connect to the server? When I first ran it, it was on port 14024 or something with my public IP and couldn't access the server so I changed it to my local IP and put the 32400 port and it now it's fine.

What the extension actually does is fetch your list of servers from plex.tv/servers and use the IP addresses and ports specified there. This is the reason some people run into issues because the servers are returned with their external IP addresses and ports. Some home networks don't seem to like loopbacks like that when you access a server on your same network through the external facing address. I'll look into this situation more to see if i can improve it.
thank you for this plugin! love transmogrify! and like the new server stats. however the splash page telling me about the new stats page shows up ever time a new page is loaded.
and also the link to the stats page in the top right nav doesn't exist.never mind... it finally appeared
Is it still doing this? I couldn't reproduce this behaviour at all.

Can you turn on debugging and pm me the console output after you've refreshed a page and the popup appears.
amazing plugin! thanks for the great work! :)
I need a tester (chrome or firefox) that currently has to override the server address in the extension settings because the extension won't work otherwise. If that's you, poke me.

moussa what will I do for your testing?

Moussa,
I believe that's me.... Currently, I can't get transmogrify to work even if I sign out of plex; however, the server stats page does work when I manually override my server address. Not sure how much help I'll be seeings as how it doesn't seem to be working at all for me?
If there is anything I can do let me know. I only know just enough to be dangerous....
Edit: Seems to be working now with the server override function even if I'm signed in... Would really be awesome if this was working again. I forgot how much I love this extension until I couldn't use it.
Just pushed out v1.1.0 which contains the following changes:
The extension now tries to reach servers on local ip addresses and falls back to external address if unreachable. This is probably a big deal for a group of you who had to deal with loopback issues and weird failures when trying to send requests to your local server via the external address. If you had issues before with the extension not working or if you had to use the server address override feature then please try updating, clearing out the override fields and letting me know if it works now :)
Also in this update: added a loading icon, fixed bug with removing plex token script, added hover title for missing episodes/seasons switch, fixed update popup bug, added caching for plex token.
I know v1.0.0 didn't make it out for you Firefox users, it was because it was in the Mozilla review queue for literally days. Hopefully this version will be out quicker. If you don't want to wait for it to be reviewed and pushed out you can manually download it at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/transmogrify-for-plex/versions/?page=1#version-1.1.0
Enjoy

apparently you need to restart chrome after the each update now.
At last everything works fine now. All the info and the statistics show up. Thank you for the great work!apparently you need to restart chrome after the each update now.

A chrome restart makes the popup appear or do you mean you have to restart to stop the popup appearing?
Can you turn on debugging in the extension settings, open the browser console (ctrl-shift-j in chrome), refresh the page, and copy the paste the contents of the console to me in a pm.

Great!
Just wanted
to do it and show that it doesn't do it any longer. Do you still want it?
So it's working fine now? It should show up while the extension loads, for about 3 seconds and then disappear. If that's what happens then it's all good.
Yes exactly,
just for the history, it was happening with the previous PMS and it happened also after today's update. But as I have open PMS, after reading your reply, doesn't happening anymore :)
If for some reason the strange behavior returns I'll report it.
Thanks for support
Thanks Moussa! Since the update, the server stats work and they're really really interesting to look at!
Fun stuff!
The first version (1.0?) with the stats page didn't work, I would click the link and the page wouldn't load.
The current version (1.1) the page loads but some charts do not work.

The ones that don't work are...
- Movies added over time
- Shows by first year aired
- Episodes added over time
Seems to be all the bar charts that don't work, except the Movies by year.

That's a very odd one. You can send me a debug log by turning on debugging in the extension settings, opening the browser console (ctrl-shift-j), refreshing the problematic server page, and copying and pasting the contents of the console to me in a PM.
It's possible you may need to temporarily share the problematic server with me so I can see what data is being returned to the extension by the server, which is probably the issue.
