Trouble migrating server from OSX 10.14 to Win10

I attempted to migrate my plex server from an old mac mini to a Win10 PC, but can’t seem to get Plex to boot up “as the old server”, on the destination machine. I followed the instructions for moving an install to another system, but at the point in the instructions where I should reboot the destination server and see all my (disconnected) media from the source server, the destination server always boots up as a “new” server that I need to name, configure, and claim.

I can tell that the data folder was copied correctly because the “new” destination server already has my libraries configured, collections, shares, etc. It’s an exact duplicate of the source server (which is great), but it’s a new entry in my list of servers (not great).

The only step I wasn’t able to follow exactly during the migration process was the importing of the mac server’s .plist file into the windows registry, but I’m not sure there’s a clean way to do that. Other than that, I tried the entire process several times, uninstalling/deleting registry key/renaming data dir between each attempt. I also tried variations on steps, such as installing the new server with the data directory already in place. No luck, though.

Anyone have any insights into this process? I feel like i’m 99% of the way there, I just need the destination server to “wake up” thinking it’s the source server, instead of a copy of the source server.

Server Version#: 1.23.4.4805
