Troubleshooting issue on Chromecast with Google TV

I’m trying to troubleshoot a problem I have when playing music through the chromecast. When I play music, I eventually get "“An error occurred while playing this item.” Apparently, with Chromecast, one has to jump through some minor hoops to enable logging. I’m a little fuzzy on what I need to do to capture the logs. Can someone help me out?
