Hello to all,
I recently watched a film and was unable to get TRUEHD working and had to revert to AC3 to get surround sound.
I use a Shield Pro.
DTS-MA 7.1 works fine, seems to be only TRUEHD 7.1 having a problem.

To what is the Shield attached?
If the attached device does not support TrueHD, then Plex has to transcode it to another format.
Apologies for the late reply, was away.
So I am sure it sued to work and my amp normally decodes to DD+
My set-up -
TV: Sony KD-555XE9005
Shield Pro - connected to TV via HDMI
Onkyo Amp TRNR609 connected ARC from TV to Amp
Only TrueHD is trancoding from Plex.
I may have never noticed or not - I am sure I never had problems before to get DD+ from the amp…
Found the prob - TrueHD only for eARC - not ARC …
For all the advanced surround formats, you rather want to connect the devices this way:
Shield → AVR → TV
