Trying to get hardware transcoding working on Linux

Server Version#: 1.27.2.5929
Player Version#: 1.49.1.3146-73559c78

OS Is Ubuntu Sever 22.04, with nvidia-drivers-515-server package installed, and nvidia-smi lists my GPU (a T600) and nvidia driver version 515.48.07. Whenever I try to transcode video, it falls back to software. I’ve attached my logs.

The only thing I’ve done that’s non standard is that I am using a hyper-v VM with discrete device assignment to passthrough the GPU to the guest Ubuntu OS. I have been able to run some compute type applications this way, so it should work with Plex, and again nvidia-smi is showing the GPU as available. Any ideas?

I figured it out, when I installed Ubuntu Sever, it asked if I wanted to install the nvidia-driver-515-server package, and I selected it to be installed. I assumed that the installer had done what it said it would, especially since nvidia-smi and the driver were installed. However, upon actually checking, this package was not installed, and I assume some of the cuda dependencies were also not installed. A quick apt install nvidia-driver-515-server and reboot has resolved the issue.
