Is it possible to tune to a specific channel number on any client? AFAICT this is not possible on my Roku Ultra (2019 model), my Fire stick (a few years old), or my Samsung Q60.
Fairly new to Plex here, got the monthly subscription as I’m still judging my options.
I’m using an HDHomerun Prime with Frontier’s FIOS TV service.
We have Frontier TV for multiple reasons. First reason - my father in his 80s will not learn to use even a Roku - channel numbers, up, down, power on, power off are how he knows to use a TV. He uses a flip phone. He will keep his STB, but the rest of us could use Plex rather than an additional DVR and STBs ($$$) - with just a few minor improvements in Plex. Second reason for us is that to watch ROOT Sports Northwest (mainly for Mariners games) requires a subscription to Frontier/Comcast/satellite TV. MLB.TV is not a particularly viable option either considering the blackouts.
Anyway, Plex seems so close to being usable, it’s a shame that two, really one thing that look like to the untrained eye like low hanging fruit are standing in the way.
