TV and Movie Cover Art not Showing

Server Version#: 1.15.1.710
Player Version#: 3.83.1 (Chrome)

The cover art for TV and Movies is not showing. I can see that it is finding items but they all show as a blank box (see attache).

Did you move your Plex data folder to a volume that is not formatted with the NTFS filesystem?

https://support.plex.tv/articles/201424327-why-do-i-get-metadata-but-no-images-for-my-library-items/

It is a FAT32 partition

So, not a NTFS partition. Then the cause is clear.

I wouldn’t have thought that FAT32 would interrupt that. In the article they reference a resilient file system etc. After looking more I see that FAT32/FAT16 neither support symbolic nor hard links. This would be good info in the article. I did not correlate these with ReFS that they reference.

Luckily this drive is only used for Plex and the backups. Easy enough to copy over, reformat and copy back.

Good point. I will suggest to add a small list of commonly used, but incompatible filesystems.

Thank you for the prod in the right direction. Working on the copy/format/copy back now

Got it all reformatted, this was indeed the cause. Fat32/16 etc are not symbolic or hard link compatible.
