I have read the article on how to name tv show specials. However, this only addresses one type of issue. Here is mine:
I have a show with 8 seasons. EACH season has a bonus dvd. If specials must be named s00exx how can you specify different folders for different seasons? I want to have a Specials folder inside each season folder. Otherwise (at least as far as I can find now) I have to have every bonus feature in ONE specials folder and they must then all be named S00Exx . So, if there are 10 bonus features in each season I will end up with S00E01 through S00E89 Not really a great option… Am I missing something? I tried putting a Specials folder in each season and none of them show up that way. Else, is this something that can be fixed (added) in a future update? Allow a bonus /specials folder inside each season so it will show up INSIDE that seasons set inside Plex.
Would be nice if it were easier as I stated… However, just before I read your comment I did come up with this work around:
TV Series
- Show
- Show - Season 1
- S01E01 blah blah
- S01E02 blah blah blah
- Show - Season 2
- S02E01 this n that
- Show - Specials 01
- S00E101 this show
- S00E102 that show
- Show - Specials 02
- S00E201 yet another
- S00E202 and even more
That seems to have worked exactly how I wanted. Now, in the single SPECIALS folder it shows inside of Plex for that TV series it still lists ALL the specials in one place (would rather have each per season folder…but…) but at least they are numbered as the season and special number (201, 202, 301, 302, 303, 304, 401, 402,…411, 412) And they show up in order…so of course season 1xx, 2xx, 3xx. The only issue I can see is if you have specials going into season 10. Now it would get tricky because it would put 1xx, 10xx I think. I could be wrong… Maybe when I have some more time I’ll try it and see what it does… Still, I think a way to put special folders inside season folders would make much more sense…
