Way back on Nov. 12, 2017 I posted a feature request about this (if I read your question right)
I agree, it doesn’t make much sense to always show the TV series poster instead of the season poster on the home screen. LOL - There hasn’t been too many votes for the request in the last five years, and it obviously hasn’t been implemented, so I guess it’s something that doesn’t bother too many people or is on the radar for Plex.
