For some reason they keep removing themselves. I’ve added new folders a few times this week. While doing it. I notice all the folders are gone and the one I’m about to add is the only one there.
Which makes me add the all AGAIN!
Does anybody know why it does that? I have all the settings set to not delete anything.
Would you mind sharing some more details?
Is this about folders being removed from your file system? Or are you talking about folders you had added to a library being removed from that library?
This last time was just the folders being removed from my TV show library. The 2 times prior was both. But only a couple folders files were deleted from the system.
That is exactly the way I have it set up. I have able folder on my desktop called TV shows and folders within for each TV show.
No. Thats the exact configuration. I changed the way the files are set up within the folders. Instead of folders of different seasons inside of the main folder of each show. I now have all the files in the main folder. Which is working great so far.
That’s weird as Plex won’t touch your file system unless it’s configured to delete old / watched episodes.
As for dropping the season folders… I’ve noticed Plex is forgiving when it comes to finding the episodes directly in the show’s main folder — just keep in mind it’s not part of Plex‘ official naming conventions… so if you’re running into trouble at some point in the future, this could be linked to the missing season folders (however unlikely that might appear right now)
