TV Shows - Analyzing a Show Should Trigger All Analysis Tasks

I recently did a clearing of excess metadata from 10 years by deleting and re-adding libraries. This caused (as expected) by intros/credits/analysis/etc to be reset as well. I am fine with having to regenerate these.

But for the butler to do everything will take months. I am selectively wanting to force-analyze some of my more popular TV shows. I’ve noticed this inconsistency before, but it’s more annoying now than ever.

Analyzing a show does not trigger intro detection, credit detection, or chapter thumbnail generation (I am not using preview thumbnails nor audio subtitle sync for TV shows).

Analyzing individual seasons triggers intro detection but not credit detection or chapter thumbnail generation.

Analyzing individual episodes does not trigger intro detection, but does do credit detection and chapter thumbnails.

Please make a change that when I choose to analyze a show it does everything for all levels of that show. It would be an incredible quality of life improvement.

The current behavior is fully intentional.
If it were implemented like you suggested above, it would happen far too frequently, that you trigger a server lockup. Meaning the server could be busy for days re-analyzing each item, generating preview thumbs, detecting intros and credits.

If you have a show which you want completely analyzed immediately, utilize multi-selection of its episodes – then trigger Analyze on this selection.
