TV Shows library not working after restore from Time Machine backup

I was attempting to install macOS 10.12.5 on my Mac mini (mid 2011) but the computer seemingly froze before the initial reboot and I force restarted it. The computer didn’t recover from this however, and I entered Recovery Mode and restored from the most recent Time Machine backup.

Since then, the TV Shows library in Plex has been acting up. All shows are marked as unwatched and if this library is included on the dashboard, I simply get “There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard” when loading the dashboard. The other libraries (Movies, Music, Photos) are all working fine. If I click the TV Shows library, I can see the shows. Clicking “Mark watched” on any given show seems to work at first (the number indicating how many unwatched episodes there are goes away), but if I return to the dashboard and click on TV Shows again then they are all back to being marked as unwatched.

I tried switching the folder for the TV Shows library to force the server to reload the series metadata, but this did not help. I even tried deleting the TV Shows library and creating a new one, but the problem still remains. The server version is 1.5.5.3634. Any ideas about how to fix this issue (preferably without removing all Plex data, since I have nearly 5000 movies and wouldn’t want to have to set the watched/unwatched flags for them again)?

Hello and welcome to the Plex forums.

This would indicate there is a corrupted entry in your database. Please see our support article on a guide on how to fix the database. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201100678-Repair-a-Corrupt-Database

Thank you very much, that did indeed make everything work as it should again.
