for the last couple years I have never seen this issue. didn’t make any changes other than adding a couple of movies. suddenly when I try to play a TV show (any) on any device it reverts back to the thumbnail instead of going into it to choose season, ep, etc.
I go down to my server and when I click on any show in any TV show category it shows me all the thumbnails but when I click on any it gives message “Something Went Wrong”.
movies and ‘other videos’ play like normal, its only the categories with TV shows. I tried deleting and re adding a TV show category and same thing. I’ve done the obvious, rebooted Mac mini server, restarted Plex, rebooted externals and still same. I can play the files fine locally using VLC media player or even VLC on devices but not Plex…help!!!
