tvOS client: trying to return to Now Playing (Music) does nothing

Player Version#: tvOS client 7.9

After I’ve started playing music, when I’m in any of the other (library navigation) views, I cannot return to the Now Playing screen by clicking the top right “now playing” icon (the tiny square with the artwork). It just does nothing.
