I have this song: https://music.apple.com/us/album/strangers-feat-alex-germys-single/1536895028
As you will see it has two artists. If I am to load it in Plex, both of them are considered as one artist. How can I make plex understand that it is two artists, both clickable and that the song should be appearing in both artists’ pages? I have tried putting any of these characters {&, ;, ,} but they do not seem to do the trick.
P.S.: Musicbrainz seems to be lagging a bit behind on getting data too:
This is unfortunately not possible in Plex. Decide on one artist name and put it into the ‘AlbumArtist’ meta tag of all track of this album.
Yikes this is a shortcoming of sorts. Should I guess from your answer that it is not envisaged as an issue and therefore never going to be addressed?
Never say never. But it’s going to be a while, I’d say.

Currently, Plex is basically limited so that every album and track has one and only one artist. A ton of songs have more than one artist, and currently, there’s no good way to represent this in Plex. You could set the artist to something like “ArtistA and ArtistB”, but then that track/album will show up as a new artist, and it won’t show up under “ArtistA” or “ArtistB”. This is inconvenient and annoying.
Instead of the “artist” field just being a text box, what if it were a “tags” box, where yo…
Marking it as a solution then. It seems pretty easy to place the “/” but maybe plex uses it as an escape character for something else…
