Two mac minis, same server, same version of Plex HTPC.
One plays the VC1 file properly, the other will only work by transcoding.
How do I troubleshoot? Here are the info screens. The one that doesn’t work says “Application disabled direct play”
Enter the settings of the one that doesn’t play.
Compare them with the one that does play.
You may probably find something under
Settings - Plex for Mac - ‘Show Advanced’ - Debug
but look also on the “Quality” and “Player” tabs.
Thanks, I tried but could not find any differences. However, I updated to the next version of mac os (14.7.5 instead of 14.6.1) and this resolved the issue. For reference they are M2 Mac Minis.
